Chad Savage worked at a haunted house for the first time in 1989, at Haunted Verdun Manor outside of Dallas, TX (now part of Thrillvania). He was hooked for life.

Chad created his first haunted house marketing materials for Verdun owner Lance Pope in 1990, which included a logo and several pieces of pen-and-ink artwork for the program, both of which remained in use at the attraction for many years.

Chad also spent a lot of time at Verdun with Lance during the off-season, fascinated by the work that went into Verdun Manor, the creature FX, and Lance's pet wolves!

In 1992 Chad moved to California and began doing freelance art & design work under the name Sinister Visions; in 2001 Sinister Visions became his full-time job, focused in large part on the haunted attraction industry.

As of 2007, Sinister Visions inc. has won a Ghoulish Gallery Isabella Award for service to the industry, and sponsors several haunt industry organizations and events, including Rotting Flesh Radio, HAuNTcon and the Midwest Haunters Convention.

As Tim Turner put it, Chad Savage "lives and breathes this industry".
